On 20 January 2025, the new bank card issue/re-issue requirements are taking effect as follows:
1. The maximum validity period of new payment cards for foreign citizens having no residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan is 12 months. This rule is not applicable to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreigners having residence permits, as well as to valid cards opened by foreigners having no residence permit before 20 January 2025.
2. One customer can open no more than 5 payment cards in a single bank. All cards are taken into account: credit and debit cards, including premium cards. Except business cards and #bccjunior.
When opening a card, please pay attention of the customer, who is a foreigner having no residence permit, to the new card’s limited validity period as per requirements of the Regulatory Authority.
The card validity period is 8 years for residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and 1 year for non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Due to scheduled maintenance, bcc.kz and bcc business mobile app services, and online P2P money transfers, ATM and self-service terminal transactions will be temporarily unavailable as follows:
- 18 January between 03:00 a.m. and 04:10 a.m.
- 20 January between 03:00 a.m. and 06:00 a.m.

Pursuant to subparagraph 1 of Article 29 (1) of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Payments and Payment Systems”, JSC Bank CenterCredit may refuse to perform the Bank Account Contract (close a current bank account) if there is no cash flow on the customer’s bank account for more than 1 (one) year.
The Bank Rights in accordance with Clause 351 of the Standard Terms for Provision of the Complex of Banking Services to Individuals at JSC Bank CenterCredit (Accession Agreement) No. 001:
Sub-clause 24. The Bank may close an account without the customer’s corresponding application, regardless of the existence of outstanding claims to the account:
- If there is no money in the account for more than a year;
- If there is a remaining balance and no movements on the account for more than a year.
Sub-clause ** 25. Account closure shall not entail termination of the Accession Agreement by the Parties.
Sub-clause 26. If there is no money in the account for more than a year, the Bank may terminate the Service Agreement, whereby a notice of the Service Agreement termination shall be posted by the Bank on Bank CenterCredit’s website, ATM, SST, mobile app, remote banking system and/or by sending an SMS notification, a push notification, a notification to the customer’s e-mail 15 (fifteen) calendar days prior to the expected Service Agreement termination date. If there is no money in the account and the term specified in the notice expires, the Bank shall terminate the Service Agreement and close the account. This notice shall be sufficient and appropriate for notifying the customer, and by signing the Agreement the customer acknowledges his/her consent thereto. However, the Bank shall have the right not to perform these actions, in which case the Service Agreement shall not be terminated and the account shall not be closed, and the relationship between the Parties shall continue, unless otherwise provided for by the Agreement.

Starting from 21 January 2025, Bank CenterCredit will charge a fee of KZT 2,000 for opening a card to the #business account.

On 11 December 2024, results of the V Anniversary Cycle of the National Social Eco-Campaign TURAQTY JOL were presented in Almaty. The Project covered more than 20,000 people and 3,500 direct participants. As part of the campaign, over 400 contest applications were received, over 100 trees were planted, and 4 tons of waste were collected for recycling.
The event brought together leading experts in the field of ecology, sustainable development and media sphere, business and financial sector representatives, and authors of environmental startups. Discussions covered the introduction of environmental principles into educational and public practices, and further steps towards sustainable development.
The Carbonick, a winning team of the Festival of Environmental Ideas, has been one of the vivid success stories. Fatima Bakirova, a representative of the team, stated: “Thanks to TURAQTY JOL, we have started developing the Green Hydrogen Generation Project, which we managed to present at the 2024 Invention Convention China International Festival”.
Special attention is paid to the support of partners in implementing the Project. The first-of-its-kind library in Central Asia dedicated to the works of Nobel Prize laureates was opened in Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. This unique Project was implemented with the support of Bank CenterCredit, the Reinventing Bretton Woods Foundation and the corporate Nobel Fest.
The library’s collection has 2,500 books, manuscripts and archival materials provided by the world’s leading scientists. The Project aims to promote science, education and create a space for free exchange of knowledge and ideas.
