Bank CenterCredit took part in the annual trade opening ceremony Ring the Bell for Gender Equality
On March 6, 2024, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC (KASE), together with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), as part of implementation of the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges held an annual “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” trade opening ceremony. The event highlighted the importance of equality in the field of sustainable development and ESG principles.
Among the invited speakers at the ceremony was the Vice President of Bank CenterCredit JSC Nurlan Shegebayev. Particular attention was paid to the discussion “Invest in Women: Accelerating Progress”. During the discussion, the bank shared its experience in supporting women’s entrepreneurship, implementing an ESG strategy and promoting gender equality within the organization.
“Today, during the discussion, the importance of supporting women’s entrepreneurship was noted, which contributes to the implementation of ESG strategies and the promotion of gender equality within our bank. We already see the results of work, leading to significant changes in our society, supporting equality of opportunity and strengthening the role of women in the economy,” shared Nurlan Shegebayev.
The opening bell for the seventh time demonstrates the commitment of the Kazakh financial community and KASE in promoting the ideals of gender equality at the international level.
