Profits from investing in shares can be of two kinds: capital gains (if the share value increases) and dividends (if the company whose shares you own decides to distribute some of its profits to shareholders). However, you should remember that investments in shares always involve risks and you should research a company thoroughly before investing
A share is the stake of a shareholder in a company. When an investor buys a share, he becomes a co-owner of the business and can earn money on the growth of its value and dividends. However, there are also risks associated with potentially high returns, as the share price can fluctuate.
In fact, bonds are loans. The investor lends money to a company or the government at interest. Bond yield is more predictable, the risks are lower, but the potential yield is generally lower compared to shares.
Each instrument is designed for different purposes:
- Shares– for investors seeking capital appreciation and willing to accept higher risks.
- Bonds - for investors who prefer stable and regular income.
Choose securities depending on your investment objectives and risk level:
- Bonds - for stable income and low risk.
- Shares - for capital appreciation, but with higher volatility.
Evaluate company reliability: financial performance, debt load and pay history record.
