Outlook — Positive, ESG score of 75
On 28 August, S&P Global Ratings revised its rating outlook on Bank CenterCredit from Stable to Positive. The agency upgraded the Bank’s national scale rating from ‘kzA+’ to ‘kzAA-‘. At the same time, BCC’s long-term and short-term issuer credit ratings were affirmed at ‘BB/B’.
The Bank’s operating performance remains stable. Net profit surged 70% in the first half of 2025 year-on-year. Return on equity (ROE) has consistently exceeded 35% on average in recent years (43% in 1H 2025).
On 25 August, BCC secured an updated ESG score from S&P Global, having improved its results compared to the previous year by 23% — from 61 to 75 scores. This proves significant progress in sustainable development initiatives.
In July, the Bank presented its second non-financial report prepared in accordance with the ARDFM requirements and the GRI, SASB, IFRS S1 and S2 international standards. The document expanded the scope of disclosed information, allowing for a comprehensive disclosure of ESG approaches implemented.
BCC is the third largest commercial bank in Kazakhstan with the market share of about 11% in total assets and 12% in retail deposits as of 1 July 2025. In early August this year, the Bank prematurely and fully repaid the government support received.
