On May 11, the final of the Republican festival of environmental ideas and projects was held in Almaty as part of the national social eco-campaign TURAQTY JOL. This festival, aimed at instilling environmental values among youth, received support from Bank CenterCredit.
Out of more than 300 applications submitted, 10 teams advanced to the final stage. Participants completed online courses with experts and presented their projects in the final stage, competing for a prize fund of 15 million tenge.
Gathering around ten thousand participants since its launch in 2020, TURAQTY JOL has become a key initiative aimed at promoting one of UNESCO's priority tasks in sustainable development education. "I am confident that this initiative contributes to changing the worldview of young people, drawing public attention to environmental conservation issues, and achieving sustainable development goals," noted Bolat Akchulakov, President of the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs.
"In its pursuit of sustainable development and the promotion of environmentally conscious initiatives, Bank CenterCredit has supported the TURAQTY JOL project for the second consecutive year. This project aims to promote responsible treatment of natural resources and the environment, enabling young people to realize their ideas, and our bank shares these principles. We believe that instilling such values is pivotal in shaping a future where everyone acknowledges their role and takes responsibility for preserving our planet," stated PR Director of Bank CenterCredit, Saken Nigmashev.
