The Interbank QR is a unified payment system operated by the National Payment Corporation (NPC). It enables merchants to accept QR payments from customers of any bank in Kazakhstan through a single BCC POS terminal.
No. There is no need to replace your equipment or visit a branch. The feature is activated automatically through a remote update on your existing POS terminal.
No. Customers simply need to open their bank’s mobile app, select the QR scanning function, and pay for their purchase.
A 1.3% fee is charged for transactions made by customers of other banks. However, payments from BCC customers continue to be processed at your standard rate (0% until 30 September 2026). The Interbank QR fee may be reduced if you activate additional acquiring options.
If a payment is accepted during a business day before 06:00 p.m., the funds are normally credited the following day; if it is accepted in the evening after 06:0 p.m., the transaction is processed on the next business day. However, funds are always credited to the merchant for the previous business day.
