Bank CenterCredit Demonstrates Leadership in Green Finance by Acquiring I-REC Certificates
Almaty, Kazakhstan

Bank CenterCredit (BCC) reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development principles by becoming the first bank in Kazakhstan to acquire 1,000 I-REC (International Renewable Energy Certificate) certificates on the AIX exchange.
This initiative has enabled the Bank to increase the share of green energy in its electricity consumption structure to 16% in 2024. As a result, the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions under Scope 2 has decreased by more than 25% compared to 2023.
The acquisition of I-REC certificates is an important step towards reducing the carbon footprint and implementing the Bank’s strategic goals in the field of sustainable development. BCC continues to invest in green solutions and strives to create a sustainable future.

Note: I-REC certificates are an internationally recognized instrument that documents that electricity was produced using renewable energy sources (RES).
