"Green Impulse: Towards the Regional Environmental Summit – 2026" Almaty, 28 November 2025.

The Central Asian Institute for Environmental Research (CAIER) hosted the Dialogue “Green Impulse: Towards the Regional Environmental Summit – 2026.” The event brought together representatives of business, government, international organizations, and experts to discuss the region’s environmental transformation agenda.

The Dialogue was held as part of the national social eco-campaign TURAQTY JOL 6.0, organized by the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs together with CAIER and the Central Asian Climate Fund, with support from the general partner — Bank CenterCredit and official partner — Chevron.

For six years, TURAQTY JOL has been shaping environmental awareness among young people in Kazakhstan. In 2025, the campaign:

  • covered 17 regions,
  • engaged over 7,000 participants,
  • collected 9.8 tons of waste,
  • and supported the planting of more than 400 trees.

OIzhas Zhusupov, Head of the ESG Directorate at Bank CenterCredit, emphasized the importance of partnership in advancing sustainability initiatives:

“We are pleased to support TURAQTY JOL and contribute to the development of ecological and social initiatives. Together with the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs and our partners, we advance projects that promote environmental awareness and care for the planet. This initiative fully aligns with our priority Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 17 — Partnership for Sustainable Development, as collaboration is key to long-term impact.”

The Dialogue marked an important step in preparing for the Regional Environmental Summit – 2026 and strengthened cooperation among key stakeholders in Central Asia’s environmental agenda.
