New “Saka Style” Banknote Series

The National Bank of Kazakhstan announces the release of a 500- tenge banknote “Saka Style” series.

This is the fifth banknote in the series. Its design is inspired by artistic elements of Saka culture, which is considered the root of traditional Kazakh ornamentation. The series captures the nation’s rich heritage – from the unique culture of nomadic peoples to modern Kazakhstan.

The new banknote has been issued to enhance the tenge’s security features and promote Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage and history.
